On 13 October 2020, Marco Wanderwitz (Federal Government Commissioner for Eastern Germany in the Ministry of Economic Affairs), Matthias Damm (District Administrator for the Central Saxony district), Dr. Lothar Beier (Deputy District Administrator), Andreas Graf (Mayor of the Lichtenau municipality) und Iris Firmenich (Member of the Central Saxony Parliament) visited the Lichtenau Display KG construction site to see the progress of the construction works. When they subsequently shared their thoughts, they all agreed that the plans for the bypass that had already been considered in the past should be taken up again as this could considerably relieve the burden on the through-road.
