POPAI Global Award 2015
On March 24 the award ceremony of the international POPAI Global Awards took place in Las Vegas. Lichtenau Display KG won again with their battery-shaped Varta counter display.
In 2014 the battery-shaped Varta counter display was awarded gold at the POPAI Awards for the DACH region. This award qualified the display for submission to the POPAI Global Awards. Among the 80 entries, the novel Varta display attracted positive attention from the jury.
“The POPAI Awards are held in 36 countries worldwide. Winning a POPAI award at home is an excellent achievement, winning a POPAI Global Award is a top achievement,” says Phil Day, Managing Director of POPAI Great Britain and Ireland.
Winner of the German Packaging Award 2015
The German Packaging Award was presented at the Nuremberg Trade Fair on 28.09.2015. Among the prize winners was Schiettinger KG, the main Göppingen plant of the Schiettinger Group.
Out of 178 entries, the 27 best packaging solutions and machines were awarded prizes. There were six different categories to choose from when submitting entries. The Beam-Box made by packaging manufacturer Schiettinger received an award in the sales packaging category.
The jury was impressed by the high recognition effect of the triangular-shaped packaging. The triangular packaging perfectly picks suits the Varta logo and thus contributes to the quick recognition of the brand at POS. Another feature which the jury also noticed was that the Beam-Box can be presented in a wide range of ways at the point of sale. The triangular folding box can be stacked in a circular or pyramid shape, with or without product view.
