Winner of the “Sustain­ab­ility Award“ 

For the 20th Pro Carton ECMA Award the trophies were awarded on 15.09.2016 in the festive setting of the ECMA Congress in Cannes. Among the prize winners was Schiet­tinger KG, the main Göppingen plant of the Schiet­tinger Group.

The awards were split among seven categories and three main prizes. Folding box manufac­turer Schiet­tinger prevailed over the other final­ists to clinch an award in the all-important “Sustain­ab­ility” category. The company enjoyed success with their “Beam-Box” sales packaging, which was awarded the “German Packaging Award” in 2015.
The jury commented: “Beautiful, sustain­able, innov­ative and practical to use – this trian­gular folding box has everything good packaging needs.” The jury was also impressed by the high recog­ni­tion effect of the trian­gular shape of the packaging. The trian­gular packaging perfectly picks suits the Varta logo and thus contrib­utes to the quick recog­ni­tion of the brand at POS.

Gold for high-quality-flexo

The packaging “Majestic – Pompe de Filtra­tion Master” made waves at the FlexoTech Inter­na­tional Print Award 2016 in the “Corrug­ated Post Print (C flute)” category. The award ceremony was held in London on 13 October 2016. The jury awarded Wellpappe Auerswalde KG with a gold award.

Whitmar Public­a­tions from Great Britain organ­ised the award. The publishing house publishes the trade journals Digital Printer, FlexoTech, Digital Labels & Packaging. The FlexoTech Inter­na­tional Print Award is one of the most presti­gious inter­na­tional events sponsored by leading companies in the industry. The jury considers the degree of diffi­culty as well as the print quality of the entries.
