The organisers of the bone marrow typing campaign Johannes Bauer, Sandra Schmelber, Karin Pöllath and Josef Söllner couldn’t quite believe it when they received the news from Brand. Colleagues from the Schiettinger company had “a large amount of money” to hand over.
The organising team were informed by Chairman of the Works Council Alois Albersdörfer at the factory that colleagues had collected the magnificent sum of 1,270 euros. Company owner Andreas Bader decided to top this amount up to 2,000 euros. Johannes Bauer, Sandra Schmelber and Josef Söllner thanked Alois Albersdörfer and Andreas Bader in person for the generous donations. They were particularly grateful for the generous contributions donated by the company employees.
Nearly 480 people could be typified in the context of the campaign, on the action day over 4200 € donations for the DKMS could be collected.
