At the 20th Pro Carton ECMA Awards on the 15/09/2016, the prizes were awarded in the magni­fi­cent surround­ings of the ECMA-Congress in Cannes. Amongst the prize winners was the main factory of the Schiet­tinger-Group, Fr. Schiet­tinger KG – Göppingen.

Awards were presented to the final­ists in seven categories as well as three main prizes. Fr. Schiet­tinger who manufac­ture folding cartons, fought off the other final­ists to win the main prize “Sustain­ab­ility”. The packaging “Beam-Box“, which was awarded the German packing prize in 2015, led the company to success. The jury made the following comment: “Attractive, sustain­able, innov­ative and convenient to use – this trian­gular folding carton has got everything that good packaging requires.” The jury made special note that the trian­gular shape of the packaging made it very easy to recog­nise, especially with regard to the Varta logo and the packaging was especially suited to this brand and contrib­uted to speedy brand recog­ni­tion at the POS.
